Barbados has emerged successful on the world’s premier fair, Expo Dubai 2020, and 1000’s of curious patrons are soon to experience a display of Barbadian culture, music, food.
March 26 Is Barbados National Day on the island’s pavilion on the fair and a grand concert featuring top Barbadian entertainers, including Arturo Tappin, Nicholas Brancker, Edwin Yearwood, TC, Peter Ram, Mahalia, and Riddim Tribe Dancers, shall be hosted.
On that day, patrons will even be treated to a taste of Barbados, with culinary delights within the Farrago Restaurant.
Angela Daniel Rampersaud, one in all the officers working within the Barbados pavilion, said interest within the country has been high.
“Barbados is certainly benefiting from having a pavilion here, especially tourism. There are such a lot of individuals who got here into the pavilion and so they got here back and said, ‘Angela we’re going to Barbados in April’, ‘we’re going to Barbados in March’, ‘we’re getting married there’. It’s improbable,” she said.
Prime Minister Mia Mottley is ready to reach on Thursday after delivering the inaugural lecture of the World Trade Organisation’s Presidential Lecture Series in Geneva.
She is going to host a Climate Crisis Youth Forum on Saturday.
Expo 2020 – which was delayed due to COVID-19 and opened in October 2021 – brings together 192 countries, each with their very own custom-built pavilion showcasing their innovations, cultures and goals for the longer term. (BT)
