Ding Dong, Brysco, and Shane O are headliners for the inaugural St Mary Jerk and Seafood Festival scheduled for Buccaneer’s Jerk & Juice in Port Maria, St Mary, on Sunday.
Rajay Gordon is organiser of the event which guarantees to be family friendly.
“The artistes that can perform appeal to all ages and could have everyone at Buccaneer’s doing the dance and/or rocking to the music. These artistes all have something to share of their music and currently they’re all front and centre within the music world,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
“Patrons can expect a day stuffed with something for everybody, from great grandma through to a toddler that may get a fun ride. RG’s Events desires to be often called the promoter of family days. We could have school supplies for teenagers — exercise books, pens and a few book bags. Our aim is to at all times give back to the community.”
Gordon further said that his aim is to attract families closer together while the country reflects on the heroes and unsung ones.
“October 16 is a vacation weekend—a weekend that Jamaica will have fun its heroes. It’s going to be a day for families to spend together, celebrating one another,” he told the Observer.
