Producers: Keron ‘Sheriff’ Thompson and Ryan ‘Dj Private Ryan’ Alexander

Nylon String Acoustic Guitar: Nigel Rojas & Keron ‘Sheriff’ Thompson

Performers: Muhammad Muwakil and Patrice Roberts

Soca superstars DJ Private Ryan and Patrice Roberts have teamed up with the 6-piece genre-bending musical ensemble Freetown Collective on a new track called “World on Fire”. It’s a crossover track to capture the likes of Latin lovers. The track features Nigel Rojas, guitarist and co-founder of the rock-reggae band Orange Sky. His talented playing of the guitar brings out a real Latin experience. “World on Fire” speaks to the bond between two souls entwined in a love affair. Yet this is not any atypical love story.

Overall, I feel improvements might be made to the combination to bring out those underlying Latin tones. Hats off to the producers and singers for jumping out of the box to capture a distinct market.

What carries the song is the infectious Zouk/Soca riddim. The riddim has a sweet groove to nice up any party. I stay up for seeing other artists perform on the track. I feel to take the song to the following level a more hyped chorus is required.

Dloxx – Tobago and Trini Woman

Produced by “Sharde Homer” of Chainlinxxx Productions

Mixed and Mastered by Chainlinxxx Productions

Written by Dolton “Dloxx” Jeremiah

Recorded at Chainlinxxx Productions Sangre Grande

The song has an easy yet effective beat with a sing-along chorus that blends perfectly with the melody “Tobago and Trini Woman”. The track should go down well on the radio with a good amount of airplay. I feel a few of the musical tones may very well be enhanced to make the track more vibrant. Towards the tip of the track, more excitement is required within the outro, so as to add some more flavour.

A beautiful song, that introduces revellers to Tobago Carnival. The song focuses mainly on instructions. Nonetheless, I feel there’s room for a sing-along chorus.

Rome – Post Him

Written by: Jonesy, Mevon Soodeen & Jerome “Rome” Precilla

Produced by: XplicitMevon Mixed by: XplicitMevon

Mastered by: Precision Productions

Background Vocals by: Jonesy, Mevon Soodeen & Gerelle Forbes

The track starts with a mandolin-style intro that offers the sensation it may very well be a Christmas song through which Rome is so known. Nonetheless no a part of the song Rome mentions Christmas. A song with a hilarious chorus “Post Him”. It’s in regards to the girls who receive fancy belongings. Yet they dare her to post the people-man on Instagram. It’s all about bacchanal and I stay up for seeing the video.

Eddie Charles – Coca Tea

A soca parang track with a double meaning that is certain to boost the Christmas fiestas. A simple singalong chorus that completely matches the melody. “Coca tea within the morning, coca tea within the evening, Coca tea in broad daylight, coca tea on Christmas night. Hot! Hot! coca tea is the most effective Christmas gift for she.” Eddie is a veteran within the soca parang arena and each season he gets higher and higher.

Beenie Man – Go Down (47 Riddim)

Nonetheless, so as to add more excitement to the riddim he has included a new release featuring Beenie Man. He gives justice to the track with powerful instructive lyrics “Go Down, Go Down, Go Down, Gyal whenever you wine and” (Repeat ).
