The president of the Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Tourism Firms of the North ( Ashonorte ), Carlos Rodoli, presented on the meeting of the chief committee of the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic ( Asonahores ) held in town of Santiago, the primary joint initiatives inside the “Two Cities One Destination” strategy, which goals to jointly promote the cities of Santiago and Puerto Plata, in a strategic alliance between Ashonorte and ACIS to advertise multi-destination within the North zone, promoting the event of tourism sustainable.
Rodolí stated that “from Ashonorte, the ACIS and other organizations now we have joined forces using the strengths of each destinations, nevertheless, now we have identified that this project might be essentially the most effective and fastest strategy to promote our advantages, identity, culture and products on the planet. , through cinema, dance and music; benefiting from the phenomenon and world reality of bachata, which has reached corners of the world where our beer, rum, and tobacco haven’t arrived».
In that sense, he highlighted the agreement between Ashonorte and ADN Movies to show Puerto Plata right into a world epicenter of Bachata, promoting music festivals and promoting itself as a movie destination through film projects that raise the pride of our cultural identity, comparable to the Movies Bachata DNA.
He also took the chance to ask and motivate those present to take part in the warm-ups that happen in Puerto Plata and Santiago towards the ADN Bachata World Festival, which can happen within the month of November from 17 to twenty in Puerto Plata.
