Romeich celebrates birthday

Romeich Major

Entrepreneur and music executive Romeich Major shall be ringing in his thirty eighth yr with a weekend of events featuring Kash, Bayka, Chronic Law, and Ding Dong.

In an interview with the Jamaica Observer, the principal of Romeich Entertainment said that he and most patrons are anticipating the return of Water Worl on Sunday.

“Mi ah look forward greater than anything to Water Worl because it has been couple years now we do not keep Water Worl and di people dem been asking mi for it and now we give dem back so we wah see how dem ah go show appreciation and are available out and have dem fun,” he said.

Water Worl shall be held at Mas Camp in St Andrew with DJs Shukkle Bus, Blackboi, Scrappy, Chromatic, and Di United providing music. On Saturday, a street dance shall be held on Campbell’s Boulevard in Kingston. That event will see appearances by DJs Banka, Coppershot, ZJ Liquid, and Bishop Escobar on the turntables.

Major also said that putting things into place has been a breeze, contrary to popular belief that large-scale event planning is tedious.

“The preparation for my party [has been] quite simple. The toughest part was the promo cause yuh know seh every night wi haffi out but big up mi team fi deh pon di road and at all times a do dat. [At] Romeich Entertainment we also do our own execution…,” he explained.

Except for Shenseea, Ding Dong and Deesha Ravers, the Romeich Entertainment team also includes Dancing Rebel, DJs Antsman, Blackboi, Bishop Escobar, Chatis, Wurl Fresh, and social media influencer Aunty Donna.

Major can also be known for his continued philanthropic efforts — certainly one of many including sponsoring 50 families with groceries throughout the COVID-19 lockdown. He says he’s looking forward to marking a new milestone with a few of whom he has helped.

“I would not say we host birthday celebrations every yr, cause you realize, we just had COVID. But every yr, the people dem look out fi mi birthday celebration to provide back to dem, ’cause yuh know mi at all times a give back to di people dem all the way through the yr. A one time fi di yr di people dem come out an’ have fun wid mi,” he said.

At the identical time, Major said that for the new chapter he plans to tap into more investments.

“As an entrepreneur we’re never where we wish to be. It’s a superb and a foul thing to be an entrepreneur; we at all times a invest, we at all times a create, we at all times a do tings — So we’re never settled with what now we have,” he said.
