A family, fun-filled event dubbed Heroes Explosion is slated for Resource, south Manchester, on Monday, October 17 (Heroes’ Day).
The event will feature live performances by from acts including Sizzla Kalonji, in addition to rising Clarendon artiste Miguel Wealthy, and Cel Blak.
Artiste/producer ZJ Liquid is billed as guest disc jock, while the event can be hosted by Manchester’s Hype Type.
In keeping with organisers, Hewitt Entertainment, Miguel Wealthy expressed his excitement for the upcoming event.
“It is a joy to get to perform on any stage in Jamaica. I’m excited to point out Manchester what I’m made from and have the women bubbling to my recent single Bubble,” he said.
The event organisers are in search of to host the event in a unique parish annually. They selected Manchester as the primary location for the event since it is central. The event is to offer back to every community that hosts the event. As such, the organisers will provide a donation to a college in south Manchester after the event.
Miguel Wealthy also said, “We aren’t doing this for ourselves, we’re doing it for the love of the culture and the music, but most of all we’re doing it for the good thing about the people.”
Julia Hewitt of Hewitt Entertainment stated: “The event is for the entire family. There can be something for everybody to enjoy, so we would like people to come back out and spend Heroes’ Day with us. There can be many prizes and surprises for the kids especially, a kids’ zone with rides, a dance competition, and other fun-filled activities. Also within the entertainment package can be a automotive and bike show.”
