Barbadians will soon have their wish for dancehall/reggae concert events to restart, granted – because of SUMMA Fest 2022 slated for Saturday, August 20, 2022 on the National Stadium.
The dancehall concert features two of the largest names in music, international recording artists Skillibeng and Shenseea acting at the National Stadium. The corporate behind the show, Dream Team Entertainment, guarantees that it’s going to be an unforgettable night, as Barbadians and people the world over might be treated to the musical fare offered not only by the headline acts but local artistes and deejays as well.
Noting that the event provides much needed economic opportunities for vendors, distribution corporations and native service providers, Dream Team Entertainment said that this enables patrons the chance to attend a significant reggae/dancehall show because the ease of COVID-19 restrictions within the last two years.
The promoters also consider that hosting the show on the National Stadium, which has been cleared as a secure venue by the authorities, brings back that nostalgic feeling of hosting major shows on the Waterford location and allows younger people to have that have as well.
The show, which begins at 9 p.m, might be held on the football field and the track of the National Stadium with absolutely no patrons allowed within the stands of the ability.
Dream Team Entertainment assures that security is paramount and personnel might be present inside and on the perimeter of the venue.
The promoters added that they’re working with a non-public security firm and the Barbados Police Service to make sure the protection of patrons, staff and repair providers during and after the event.
